'Hypnotherapy Business of The Year 2015/16'- Daniel L. McDermid

Enabling smokers to quit has been a core programme at Leeds Hypnotherapy Clinic ever since the clinic opened in 2010.
Over the years hundreds of clients have been successfully treated, many of them people who had smoked for years and had almost given up hope of ever been able to stop.
Some smokers came to the clinic after reading reviews on the web. Many others arrived having had the clinic recommended to them by previous clients. And others came on the recommendation of their doctors or other health professionals, such is the growing recognition of the clinic’s success rate in helping smokers quit.
The programme is run by leading hypnotherapist Daniel McDermid, author of Stop Smoking It’s a Doddle and widely regarded as a leading expert on smoking cessation.
Daniel has developed unique treatment techniques which mean that clients leave the clinic as non-smokers after just one session. Treatment is based on cognitive behavioural therapy supported by clinical hypnosis.
Daniel is a psychology graduate and a trained practitioner of cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.
After his degree in Leeds, Daniel studied with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
The treatment he provides derives from principles of cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and uses rational emotional behavioural hypnotherapy in its treatment of smokers.
Daniel is a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis which has a strict code of practice.
As well as the self-help book Stop Smoking: It’s a Doddle (2015), Daniel is the author of other publications, including Man Up Lose Weight: It’s a Doddle (2016) and he is a contributor to Hypnotherapy Experts (2016).
Leeds Hypnotherapy Clinic was winner of the UK’s ‘Hypnotherapy Business of the Year 2015/16’ award, presented by ‘The Hypnotherapy Business School’.
As well as been a smoking cessation expert, Daniel uses his skills in the treatment of various other conditions; he is a board member of ‘The Association of Weight Loss Hypnotherapists‘. He writes a monthly blog for the ‘Association of Weight Loss Hypnotherapists’ (AWLH) website, which offers advice to other practitioners and to individual wishing to be a healthy weight.
Daniel, who lives in his home city, Leeds, is married and is a dad.
